A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. "He doesn’t stand a chance," mutters the guard as the 12 jurors are taken into the bleak jury room to decide his fate. What appears to be an open-and-shut case quickly turns into a high-stakes psychological battle when one lone juror casts a "not guilty" vote, citing reasonable doubt.
As the temperature in the sweltering room rises, so do tempers. Confined together, these twelve ordinary citizens are forced to re-examine the evidence and, in the process, confront their own personal histories, deep-seated prejudices, and the heavy weight of their responsibility. This electrifying courtroom thriller explores the flaws in human judgment and the power of one person to stand up for justice.
